बिहार के सिवान जिले के चर्चित गीतकार मनोज भावुक को 15 मार्च 2026, रविवार को पटना के बापू सभागार में आयोजित 7वें सरस सलिल भोजपुरी सिने अवार्ड्स 2026 में बेस्ट लिरिसिस्ट अवॉर्ड से सम्मानित किया गया। यह सम्मान उन्हें भोजपुरी फिल्म ‘दुलहिनिया नाच नचावे’ के गीतों के लिए दिया गया। यह पुरस्कार उन्हें इम्पा (IMPA) के अध्यक्ष अभय सिन्हा ने प्रदान किया।
अवार्ड प्राप्त करने के बाद मनोज भावुक ने भावुक स्वर में कहा कि भोजपुरी अवार्ड समारोहों की असली सार्थकता तब है, जब हम उन लोगों को भी याद करें जिन्होंने इस उद्योग की बुनियाद रखी। उन्होंने कहा कि केवल अपनी उपलब्धियों का उत्सव मनाना ही पर्याप्त नहीं है, बल्कि उन पुरोधाओं का सम्मान भी ज़रूरी है जिनकी बदौलत आज यह मंच संभव हुआ है। “कल हम भी पुराने हो जाएंगे, असली खुशी तब होगी जब हमारे इस दुनिया में न रहने पर भी लोग हमारे काम के लिए तालियाँ बजाएँ,” उन्होंने कहा।
मनोज भावुक ने यह सम्मान संगीतकार रजनीश मिश्रा को समर्पित करते हुए कहा कि फिल्मों से उन्हें बतौर गीतकार जोड़ने का श्रेय उन्हीं को जाता है। साथ ही उन्होंने फिल्म के निर्माता निशांत उज्ज्वल के प्रति भी आभार व्यक्त किया।
भोजपुरी सिनेमा में मनोज भावुक और रजनीश मिश्रा की जोड़ी कई यादगार गीत दे चुकी है। फिल्म ‘मेहंदी लगा के रखना’ का लोकप्रिय गीत “तोर बउरहवा रे माई”, फिल्म ‘मेहमान’ का “मेरे राम” और ‘आपन कहाये वाला के बा’ के गीतों ने भोजपुरी संगीत को नई पहचान दी है।
मनोज भावुक की पहचान भोजपुरी जगत में एक शालीन कवि, ग़ज़लकार, संपादक, फिल्म गीतकार और फिल्म इतिहासकार के रूप में है। भोजपुरी सिनेमा की गहरी समझ के कारण उन्हें अक्सर “भोजपुरी सिनेमा का इनसाइक्लोपीडिया” कहा जाता है। उनकी शोधपरक पुस्तक ‘भोजपुरी सिनेमा के संसार’ में 2025 तक के भोजपुरी सिनेमा का इतिहास दर्ज है, जबकि ‘चलनी में पानी’ और ‘तस्वीर ज़िंदगी के’ उनकी चर्चित कृतियाँ हैं।
मनोज भावुक हमेशा स्वच्छ और गरिमापूर्ण भोजपुरी के पक्षधर रहे हैं और उन्होंने व्यावसायिक लाभ के लिए कभी भी द्विअर्थी या अश्लील गीत नहीं लिखे। वर्तमान में वे महुआ नेटवर्क में प्रोग्रामिंग हेड के रूप में कार्यरत हैं। इससे पहले वे ज़ी टीवी, न्यूज़18, टाइम्स नाउ, एनडीटीवी और सारेगामापा जैसे प्रतिष्ठित मंचों से लेखक और प्रोजेक्ट हेड के रूप में जुड़े रहे हैं।
Manoj Bhawuk Receives Best Lyricist Award for ‘Dulhaniya Naach Nachawe’
Renowned lyricist from Siwan district of Bihar, Manoj Bhawuk, was honored with the Best Lyricist Award at the 7th Saras Salil Bhojpuri Cine Awards 2026, held on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at Bapu Sabhagar in Patna. He received this award for the songs of the film “Dulhaniya Naach Nachawe.” The award was presented to him by IMPA President Abhay Sinha.
After receiving the award, Manoj Bhawuk said, “The true meaning of Bhojpuri award ceremonies lies in remembering those people who laid its foundation. We should not only pat our own backs. One day we too will become part of the past. The real joy is when people continue to applaud us even after we are no longer in this world.”
Manoj further added, “It was music director Rajnish Mishra who connected me to films as a lyricist. I dedicate this award to him.” He also expressed his gratitude to producer Nishant Ujjwal.
In fact, whenever lyricist Manoj Bhawuk and music director Rajnish Mishra have collaborated, they have produced memorable songs. Popular tracks like “Tor Baurahwa Re Mai” from the film Mehndi Laga Ke Rakhna, “Mere Ram” from the film Mehmaan, and the songs from Aapan Kahaye Wala Ke Ba have given Bhojpuri music a distinctive identity.
In the Bhojpuri cultural world, Manoj Bhawuk is recognized as a dignified poet, ghazal writer, editor, film lyricist, and film historian. He is among the few contemporary Bhojpuri writers who have successfully maintained a balance between intellectual depth and popular appeal. Because of his deep understanding of Bhojpuri cinema, he is often called the “Encyclopedia of Bhojpuri Cinema.” His research-based book “Bhojpuri Cinema Ke Sansar” documents the history of Bhojpuri cinema up to 2025. His other notable books include “Chalni Mein Pani” and “Tasveer Zindagi Ke.”
Manoj Bhawuk is often regarded as a cultural ambassador of Bhojpuri. He has never written double-meaning or obscene songs for commercial gains and has consistently advocated for clean and dignified Bhojpuri language. At a time when the language of Bhojpuri film music is often questioned, his songs inspire a positive hope.
By profession, Manoj Bhawuk is an engineer and has worked abroad as well. However, he eventually returned to his linguistic and cultural roots. His experiences of living in London and Africa have given him a global perspective, and he continues to actively work toward establishing Bhojpuri as a respected cultural brand at the international level.
Currently, Manoj Bhawuk serves as the Programming Head at Mahua Network. Earlier, he has been associated with several leading Bhojpuri channels as well as prestigious platforms such as Zee TV, News18, Times Now, NDTV, and Sa Re Ga Ma Pa as a writer and project head.
