चंडीगढ़ में 5वें खेलो मास्टर्स नेशनल गेम्स का समापन: उत्तराखंड और हरियाणा के खिलाड़ियों का दबदबा
चंडीगढ़: ‘खेलो मास्टर्स इंडिया फाउंडेशन’ द्वारा आयोजित 5वें खेलो मास्टर्स नेशनल गेम्स 2026 का आज सेक्टर 7 स्पोर्ट्स कॉम्प्लेक्स में गरिमापूर्ण समापन हुआ। 20 से 22 मार्च तक चले इस राष्ट्रीय आयोजन में देशभर के लगभग 3,500 एथलीटों ने हिस्सा लेकर फिट इंडिया के संदेश को बुलंद किया।
इस नेशनल गेम में ऋषिकेश पुस्तक विक्रेता एवं स्टेशनर्स संघ के महामंत्री अशोक अवस्थी ने 5 पदक जीतकर ऋषिकेश सहित पूरे उतराखण्ड का मान बढाया।
उपरोक्त आशय की जानकारी देते हुए ऋषिकेश पुस्तक विक्रेता एवं स्टेशनर्स संघ के अध्यक्ष सुरेश सूरी निदेशक सूरी एंटरप्राइजेज ऋषिकेशने बताया कि उत्तराखंड के लिए गौरव की बात है कि इस गेम में ऋषिकेश निवासी अशोक अवस्थी ने 5 पदक जीत कर हम सभी को गौरवान्वित किया है। प्रतियोगिता में उत्तराखंड के खिलाड़ियों ने शानदार प्रदर्शन किया। विशेष रूप से एथलीट में ऋषिकेश निवासी अशोक अवस्थी ने अपनी फिटनेस का लोहा मनवाते हुए कुल 5 पदक अपनी झोली में डाले। अवस्थी ने टेबल टेनिस के मेन्स सिंगल और मेन्स डबल में रजत पदक (सिल्वर), जबकि मिक्स डबल में कांस्य पदक हासिल किया। एथलेटिक्स 400 मीटर रेस और 5000 मीटर वॉक रेस में कांस्य पदक (ब्रॉन्ज) भी मिला।
राज्यों का प्रदर्शन और विजेता-
खेलों के दौरान विभिन्न राज्यों के बीच कड़ी प्रतिस्पर्धा देखी गई:
हरियाणा: बास्केटबॉल और हॉकी जैसी टीम स्पर्धाओं में हरियाणा के खिलाड़ियों ने जीत दर्ज की, जिसमें हरियाणा की पुरुष बास्केटबॉल टीम ने हिमाचल प्रदेश को 31-28 से हराया।
पंजाब और केरल: पंजाब ने दिल्ली को हराकर आगे कदम बढ़ाए, वहीं केरल ने पंजाब को हराकर अगले दौर में प्रवेश किया।
व्यक्तिगत उपलब्धि: पंजाब के राज बाजवा ने भी दो स्वर्ण और एक रजत पदक जीतकर अपनी टीम का मान बढ़ाया।
स्वास्थ्य और खेल भावना का संगम-
प्रतियोगिता के अंतिम दिन फुटबॉल, हॉकी और तैराकी के रोमांचक फाइनल हुए। 30 वर्ष से लेकर वरिष्ठ आयु वर्ग तक के खिलाड़ियों ने यह साबित किया कि खेल कौशल उम्र के मोहताज नहीं होते। खेलो मास्टर्स इंडिया फाउंडेशन का यह प्रयास पूर्व खिलाड़ियों को फिर से मैदान पर उतारने और समाज को स्वस्थ रहने की प्रेरणा देने में सफल रहा।

**5th Khelo Masters National Games Conclude in Chandigarh: Uttarakhand and Haryana Athletes Dominate**
**Chandigarh:** The 5th Khelo Masters National Games 2026, organized by the ‘Khelo Masters India Foundation,’ concluded today with a dignified ceremony at the Sector 7 Sports Complex. Held from March 20 to 22, this national event saw approximately 3,500 athletes from across the country participate, thereby amplifying the message of ‘Fit India.’
In these national games, Ashok Awasthi—General Secretary of the Rishikesh Booksellers and Stationers Association—brought honor to Rishikesh and the entire state of Uttarakhand by winning a total of five medals.
Sharing details regarding this achievement, Suresh Suri—President of the Rishikesh Booksellers and Stationers Association and Director of Suri Enterprises, Rishikesh—stated that it is a matter of immense pride for Uttarakhand that Rishikesh resident Ashok Awasthi has brought glory to us all by securing five medals in this competition. Athletes from Uttarakhand delivered a stellar performance throughout the tournament. Notably, in the athletics category, Rishikesh resident Ashok Awasthi proved his mettle in fitness by bagging a total of five medals. Awasthi won silver medals in both the Men’s Singles and Men’s Doubles Table Tennis events, while securing a bronze medal in the Mixed Doubles category. He also earned bronze medals in the 400-meter athletics race and the 5000-meter race walk.
**State Performances and Winners:**
The games witnessed fierce competition among athletes from various states:
**Haryana:** Athletes from Haryana achieved victories in team events such as Basketball and Hockey; specifically, the Haryana Men’s Basketball team defeated Himachal Pradesh with a score of 31-28.
**Punjab and Kerala:** Punjab advanced further in the tournament by defeating Delhi, while Kerala secured its entry into the next round by defeating Punjab.
**Individual Achievement:** Raj Bajwa from Punjab also brought honor to his team by winning two gold medals and one silver medal. A Confluence of Health and Sportsmanship—
On the final day of the competition, thrilling finals were held in football, hockey, and swimming. Athletes ranging from the 30-plus category to the senior age groups proved that sporting prowess knows no age barriers.
