*एसआरएचयू में लोकपर्व हरेला पर लिया पर्यावरण संरक्षण का संकल्प*

बुधवार को विश्वविद्यालय प्रांगण में चलाए गए पौधारोपण कार्यक्रम का शुभारंभ स्वामी राम हिमालयन विश्वविद्यालय के अध्यक्ष डॉ. विजय धस्माना ने किया। उन्होंने कहा कि पर्यावरण संरक्षण व स्वच्छता विश्वविद्यालय की परंपरा रही है। डॉ. विजय धस्माना ने कहा कि लोकपर्व हरेला प्रकृति पूजन व पर्यावरण संरक्षण का प्रतीक है। यदि पर्यावरण सुरक्षित रहेगा तो ही मानव जाति का अस्तित्व भी सुरक्षित रहेगा। उन्होंने कहा कि आज जिस तरह जलवायु परिवर्तन के चलते प्राकृतिक आपदाएं आ रही है यह चेतावनी है कि हम प्राकृतिक संतुलन बनाने की दिशा में कार्य करे।
अध्यक्ष डॉ. विजय धस्माना ने विश्वविद्यालय परिवार के सभी सदस्यों से आह्वान किया कि पर्यावरण संरक्षण व स्वच्छता को मूल कर्तव्य समझकर दूसरों को भी जागरुक करें। इस अवसर पर रजिस्ट्रार कमांडर चल्ला वेंकटेश्वर (से.नि), एस्टेट ऑफिसर अमरेन्द्र कुमार सहित विभिन्न स्कूलों के प्राचार्य व फैकल्टी सदस्य उपस्थित रहे।

*Doiwala.* SRHU (Swami Ram Himalayan University) Jolly Grant took a pledge to protect the environment on the occasion of Uttarakhand’s folk festival Harela by running a plantation campaign on a large scale. On this occasion, about 500 plants of Jamun, Peepal, Amaltas, Neem, Lagstrominia etc. were planted.

The plantation program run in the university campus on Wednesday was inaugurated by Dr. Vijay Dhasmana, President of Swami Ram Himalayan University. He said that environmental protection and cleanliness have been the tradition of the university. Dr. Vijay Dhasmana said that the folk festival Harela is a symbol of nature worship and environmental protection. Only if the environment remains safe, the existence of mankind will also be safe. He said that the way natural disasters are coming today due to climate change, it is a warning that we should work towards creating natural balance.
Chairman Dr. Vijay Dhasmana called upon all the members of the university family to consider environmental protection and cleanliness as their fundamental duty and make others aware of it. On this occasion, Registrar Commander Challa Venkateswara (Retd.), Estate Officer Amarendra Kumar along with principals and faculty members of various schools were present.
