*ओंकारानंद इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ मैनेजमेंट एंड टेक्नोलॉजी में विश्व पर्यावरण दिवस धूमधाम से मनाया गया*

डॉ. राठी ने पर्यावरण दिवस की सभी विद्यार्थियों को शुभकामनाएं देते हुए ‘प्लास्टिक प्रदूषण’ जैसी वैश्विक समस्या पर चिंता व्यक्त की और प्लास्टिक के उपयोग को सीमित करने की प्रेरणा दी। उन्होंने छात्रों को शपथ दिलाई कि वे पर्यावरण की रक्षा हेतु संकल्पबद्ध रहें और समाज में जागरूकता फैलाएं।

मुख्य अतिथि श्रीमती गीता चंदोला ने अपने संबोधन में ग्रामीण महिलाओं के सशक्तिकरण की प्रेरणादायी कहानी साझा की। उन्होंने बताया कि उनके संगठन में करीब 200 महिलाएं कार्यरत हैं जो पूरी तरह प्राकृतिक उत्पादों का निर्माण कर पर्यावरण संरक्षण में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभा रही हैं। संस्था के 35 वर्षों की इस यात्रा में उन्होंने कई स्वरोजगार के अवसर भी विकसित किए हैं।

बी.एड. विभाग के प्राचार्य डॉ. संतोष डबराल ने एनसीटीई 2.0 के तहत “एक पेड़ माँ के नाम” अभियान का उल्लेख करते हुए सभी को यह प्रेरणा दी कि हम हर दिन को पर्यावरण दिवस की तरह जीएं और वर्ष में कम से कम एक पेड़ अवश्य लगाएं।

कार्यक्रम में बी.एड. के छात्र-छात्राओं द्वारा एक प्रभावशाली नाटक ‘कल’ का मंचन किया गया, जिसमें पर्यावरणीय समस्याओं जैसे वायु, जल एवं धरती के प्रदूषण पर मार्मिक प्रस्तुति दी गई। इसके अतिरिक्त रंगारंग सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रमों और पोस्टर प्रतियोगिता का भी आयोजन किया गया, जिसमें लगभग 50 विद्यार्थियों ने भाग लिया। पोस्टर प्रतियोगिता में निर्णायक मंडल में श्रीमती गीता चंदोला, कंप्यूटर साइंस विभाग की प्राध्यापिकाएं श्रीमती सरगम एवं श्रीमती नूपुर उपस्थित रहीं।

कार्यक्रम के अंत में परिसर में 50 पौधों का सामूहिक वृक्षारोपण किया गया। सभी विद्यार्थियों ने यह शपथ ली कि लगाए गए पौधों की देखभाल और पोषण की जिम्मेदारी उनकी स्वयं की होगी।

इस अवसर पर संस्थान के समस्त शिक्षकगण, एवं छात्र-छात्राएं उपस्थित रहे ।

Natural products being made by rural women of Dhalwala were appreciated

World Environment Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and environmental resolve at Omkaranand Institute of Management and Technology today. The program was inaugurated by Mrs. Geeta Chandola, President of Bharatiya Gramo Udyog Sansthan, Dhalwala, Director of the Institute Dr. Praveen Kumar Rathi, B.Ed. Principal Dr. Santosh Dabral and Principal of Management Department Dr. Vikas Gairola with lighting of lamps and offering of flowers.

Wishing all the students a Happy Environment Day, Dr. Rathi expressed concern over the global problem of ‘plastic pollution’ and inspired to limit the use of plastic. He administered an oath to the students to remain committed to protect the environment and spread awareness in the society.

Chief Guest Mrs. Geeta Chandola shared the inspirational story of empowerment of rural women in her address. She told that about 200 women are working in her organization who are playing an important role in environmental protection by manufacturing completely natural products. In this journey of 35 years of the organization, they have also developed many self-employment opportunities.

B.Ed. Department Principal Dr. Santosh Dabral, referring to the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign under NCTE 2.0, inspired everyone to live every day like Environment Day and plant at least one tree in a year.

In the program, an impressive play ‘Kal’ was staged by the students of B.Ed., in which a touching presentation was given on environmental problems like air, water and earth pollution. Apart from this, colorful cultural programs and poster competition were also organized, in which about 50 students participated. Mrs. Geeta Chandola, professors of Computer Science Department Mrs. Sargam and Mrs. Nupur were present in the jury in the poster competition.

At the end of the program, 50 saplings were planted en masse in the campus. All the students took an oath that they would be responsible for the care and nourishment of the planted saplings.

All the teachers and students of the institute were present on this occasion.
