देव भूमि जे के न्यूज,22-APRIL-2025 डोईवाला नेपाल की दस नगरपालिका के महापौरों के दल ने भारत में स्प्रिंगशेड प्रबंधन की दिशा में किये जा रहे कार्यों को जानने के लिए स्वामी राम हिमालयन विश्वविद्यालय (एसआरएचयू) जौलीग्रांट का भ्रमण किया। इस विनिमय कार्यक्रम के तहत निकाय के महापौरों ने नेपाल में किये जा रहे कार्यों की जानकारी साझा की।
मंगलवार को अंतर्राष्ट्रीय एकीकृत पर्वतीय विकास केंद्र (आईसीआईमोड) के नेतृत्व में नेपाल की दस नगरपालिका के महापौरों का दल एसआरएचयू पहुंचा। इस दौरान आयोजित कार्यक्रम को संबोधित करते हुए एसआरएचयू के अध्यक्ष डॉ. विजय धस्माना ने कहा कि नेपाल और उत्तराखंड की भौगोलिक संरचना समान है। हिमालय रेंज में होने के कारण लोगों को प्राकृतिक आपदा, भूस्खलन आदि की समस्याओं का सामना करना पड़ता है। उन्होंने कहा कि हम एक दूसरे से बहुत कुछ सीख सकते हैं। नेपाल में स्प्रिंगशेड प्रबंधन की दिशा में जो कार्य किये जा रहे वह आप हमसे साझा करें और हम जैसे कार्य कर रहे है आप सीखे और इसका अनुपालन करें। इससे दोनों ही देशों को लाभ पहुंचेगा। उन्होंने कहा कि हमारे सामने जल संकट सहित कई चुनौतियां हैं। जल के बिना जीवन की कल्पना नहीं की जा सकती है। उन्होंने कहा कि संस्थान बीस वर्षोे से पेयजल एवं स्वच्छता के क्षेत्र में कार्य कर रहा है। जिसमें संस्था की ओर से 600 से ज्यादा गांवों में स्वच्छ जल पहुंचाया गया है। इसके अलावा हिमालय से गंगासागर तक अभी तक 31 राज्य एवं केन्द्र शासित प्रदेशों में पानी के संरक्षण, संवर्धन एवं कौशल विकास पर कार्य किया जा रहा है।
महानिदेशक शैक्षणिक विकास डॉ. विजेंद्र चौहान ने संस्थापक स्वामी राम और उनके सामाजिक विकास कार्यों पर प्रकाश जानकारी दी। कुलपति डॉ. राजेन्द्र डोभाल ने नेपाल से आये प्रतिनिधिमंडल का धन्यवाद ज्ञापित किया। देहरादून के मेयर सौरभ थपलियाल ने नेपाल से आये महापौर के दल को देहरादून नगर निगम के कार्यों के विषय में विस्तार से जानकारी दी। साथ ही उन्हें नगर निगम देहरादून आने का निमंत्रण दिया। इसके पश्चात आयोजित तकनीकी सत्र में एसआरएचयू के सलाहकार एच.पी. उनियाल ने भारतीय हिमालय रेंज में स्प्रिंगशेड कार्य की जानकारी दी। साथ ही एसआरएचयू में स्थापित रेन वॉटर हार्वेस्टिंग मॉडल से पूरे साल बारिश के पानी के संग्रहण की तकनीक का स्थलीय निरीक्षण करवाया। इसके अतिरिक्त सीवेज ट्रीटमेंट प्लांट के बारे में जानकारी दी। इस अवसर पर प्रति कुलपति डॉ. ऐके देवरारी, मेडिकल कॉलेज के प्रिंसिपल ले.ज. दलजीत सिंह, एवीएसएम, वीएसएम (सेनि), आईसीआईएमओडी नेपाल के डॉ. संजीव बुचर, पीएसआई के डॉ. देबाशीष सेन, डॉ. राजीव बिजल्वाण, नितेश कौशिक आदि उपस्थित रहे।

*- Springshed management is necessary to deal with water crisis*
*Doiwala.* A team of mayors of ten municipalities of Nepal visited Swami Ram Himalayan University (SRHU) Jollygrant to know the work being done towards springshed management in India. Under this exchange program, the mayors of the body shared information about the work being done in Nepal.
On Tuesday, a team of mayors of ten municipalities of Nepal reached SRHU under the leadership of International Integrated Mountain Development Centre (ICIMOD). Addressing the program organized during this time, SRHU President Dr. Vijay Dhasmana said that the geographical structure of Nepal and Uttarakhand is similar. Being in the Himalayan range, people have to face problems of natural disaster, landslides etc. He said that we can learn a lot from each other. Share with us the work being done in Nepal towards springshed management and learn from what we are doing and follow it. This will benefit both the countries. He said that we have many challenges including water crisis. Life cannot be imagined without water. He said that the institute has been working in the field of drinking water and sanitation for twenty years. In which clean water has been supplied to more than 600 villages by the institute. Apart from this, work is being done on water conservation, promotion and skill development in 31 states and union territories from Himalayas to Gangasagar.
Director General Educational Development Dr. Vijendra Chauhan gave light on the founder Swami Ram and his social development work. Vice Chancellor Dr. Rajendra Dobhal thanked the delegation from Nepal. Dehradun Mayor Saurabh Thapliyal gave detailed information about the work of Dehradun Municipal Corporation to the team of Mayors from Nepal. Along with this, he invited them to visit Municipal Corporation Dehradun. After this, in the technical session organized, SRHU Advisor H.P. Uniyal gave information about the springshed work in the Indian Himalayan range. Along with this, he got the on-site inspection of the technology of collecting rain water throughout the year from the rain water harvesting model installed in SRHU done. Apart from this, information was given about the sewage treatment plant. On this occasion, Vice Chancellor Dr. AK Devrari, Principal of Medical College Lt. Col. Daljit Singh, AVSM, VSM (Retd), Dr. Sanjeev Butcher of ICIMOD Nepal, Dr. Debashish Sen of PSI, Dr. Rajiv Bijalwan, Nitesh Kaushik etc. were present.
